2024 Finseeker 240 DC

The 240 DC offers the best features of a bowrider crossed with a center-console.

Finseeker’s dual console offers the right combination of comfort, fishability and sport-utility versatility. It’s like a bowrider meets express cruiser, with an open bow filled with comfortable seating, and a cockpit that blends cruising comfort with fish-fighting capabilities.

The 240 DC sports a sleek profile yet maintains a high bow and deep freeboard for seakeeping capabilities, bringing a cockpit depth that reassures parents of boisterous children. There are grab rails all around the deep seating at the bow, and coaming bolsters to pad the sides for comfort. A windlass on our test vessel makes anchoring a breeze for bottomfishing, and the 26-gallon transom baitwell keeps plenty of bait on hand. Frozen cut bait can be stowed in the insulated compartments under the cockpit seating.

A Mercury 300 powered our test boat, and the torque kept the boat on plane at minimum speeds for navigating rough weather. Mercury’s throttles are silky-smooth, and the electric power steering is crisp and responsive for ultimate control. All the engine data is displayed on two Garmin units that give the helm its glass-cockpit appeal.

The cockpit can be protected from the weather by closing a foldaway wind dam that meets the windshield to break the breeze and sea spray from blowing through. We like that feature for cooler days, and it will extend your season in northern climates like the Great Lakes. The hardtop also protects boaters from the sun above and rain and sea spray in snotty weather. The stanchions that support it are painted white, and their heavy-duty design style matches the lines of the boat, as does the sturdy hardtop.

The battery on/off switch is easily accessed near the transom walk-through, which opens to a large swim platform—an added advantage when fighting fish or using the 240 DC for swimming or watersports.
