Mercury Bravo I OC

Mercury introduces new props for catamarans.

If you own an outboard-powered catamaran and want more propeller options, check out the new Mercury Bravo I OC (Outboard Catamaran). It’s designed specifically for high-powered outboard catamarans.

So you can customize it for your boat, the new propeller has eight ventilation holes and plug options. The stainless-steel four-blade wheel has a 14.75-inch diameter and comes in a pitch range from 28 inches to 35inches, in left- and right-hand rotations. The shortened exhaust barrel minimizes drag.

The propeller has been tested on well-known catamarans such as Douglas Marine Skater 28 and 32 models as well as boats from Talon, Dave’s Custom Boats, Spectre and Doug Wright.

For catamarans with stern-drive power, the five-blade Maximus ST is a stainless -steel propeller. It also has a cut-down hub and diameter (15.3” inches) and a shortened exhaust tube for enhanced performance. The Maximus ST is rated for up to 600 hp. On a DCB M29 powered by twin Mercury Racing 565s and Bravo One XR drives with Sport Master lower units, the boat ran 115 mph, winning its class at the Desert Storm Poker Run shootout.
