NauticStar 223 DC Sport Deck

Room for 10, a stable attitude and quick-planing performance rank this boat high with the deck-boat crowd.

NauticStar’s 223 DC boasts one of the most family friendly cockpit arrangements we’ve seen. A flip-down aft seat allows boarding from the transom without having to step on lounge cushions. Safe and easy. The 223 also delivers the practical addition of a full panoramic walk-through windshield and walk-in dressing room with stowage, trash receptacle and sink with pressurized water. Its fiberglass floor eases cleanups, and makes the space feel bright and inviting.

There’s room for 10 crew members divided between the U-shaped aft lounge and parallel bow lounges, with ample space for gear in the finished stowage compartments below. A chaise lounge aft of the helm is the perfect spot to recline and keep an eye on swimming kids while anchored at your favorite cove. The bow platform offers space for boarding or fishing, plus covered boarding ladder and anchor locker, and an insulated cooler. It can be converted into a livewell and drains overboard. Additional options include a platform casting chair and trolling motor.

NauticStar mixes a shallow transom deadrise, for stability, with a full V-forward to slice through chop. An air-assist chine releases water to enhance lift and deliver quicker planing. Powered by a Yamaha F150, our test boat jumped onto plane in four seconds and topped out at an even 44 mph.
