This spring, our team set out to Virginia Beach, the sight-fishing capital of the Northeast, to target the legendary cobia of the Chesapeake Bay. Known for its challenging conditions, this fishery tests even the most seasoned anglers. Over five days, creators Ryan Morie and Tyler Wald, alongside Captain Andy Kim, battled thick clouds, rough seas, and elusive fish to catch multiple cobia, including a massive 50-inch trophy. Produced in partnership with GEICO, this adventure showcased the thrill of sight-fishing in one of the world’s most iconic waters, where patience and skill meet the raw beauty of the Chesapeake Bay.

Ryan Morie is a full-time content creator based out of southeast Florida. After graduating from the University of Florida, Ryan served as an officer in the United States Marine Corps.
