Costa Unveils New Sunglass Styles for Women

New Costa sunglass styles for women blend lifestyle with performance.

Just in time for Spring Break 2014, Costa Sunglasses introduces three of its new styles for women: Isla, Blenny and Goby. Each one beautifully blends durable performance features with bright, colorful frames and an on-trend look.

Boasting a big, round eye with a medium fit, Isla comes in stylish frame color combinations including shiny black + coral, white + topaz, retro tortoise with black temples and scotch + black with black temples. But Isla is more than just a pretty face. Its nylon frame construction, no-slip nose pads and flexible spring hinges offer a “forget-they’re-on” fit. Isla retails for $169.

Blenny takes its cue from the colorful fish that live in the crevices of the ocean’s coral reefs. Featuring a large fit, flexible spring hinges and a bold, round eye, Blenny’s frame color options include tortoise, shiny black + coral, pomegranate fade and white + topaz. Its stainless steel decorative Costa logo plaque adds a jewelry element to this unique style. Blenny retails for $169.

Goby, also named after a type of colorful reef fish, brings a medium fit to this rounded eye frame. Frame color options include white + black, pomegranate fade, coconut fade, black fade and morena (a lighter tortoise). Sturdy integral hinges help Goby keep its shape, no matter where your adventure takes you. Goby retails for $149.

All three new styles are available in Costa’s patented 580™ 100 percent polarized lens technology, setting these sunglasses apart from the competition. Costa’s 580 lenses block yellow light from entering the eye, creating razor sharp color enhancement and eliminating reflective glare. The lenses are lightweight and impact resistant, perfect for even the most rugged explorations. Lens color options include gray, copper and amber.

Women can also order Isla, Blenny and Goby with customized Costa Rx lenses, available through authorized optical retailers.

“Of the 13 new styles we’re rolling out in 2014, eight of them are designed for women,” said Chas MacDonald, president of Costa Sunglasses. “You’ll see lots of bright new colors available across our entire line, as well as a variety of shapes. There’s a custom Costa style for every woman in this new collection.”

Isla, Blenny and Goby are available now through authorized Costa retail partners and online at
