Easily Remove Oil and Fuel Filters
Oil and fuel filters aboard boats are often installed at inconvenient angles and in locations that are tough to access. In addition, engine room grease and bilge moisture may make gripping filters with a strap wrench nigh-on impossible.
Here’s a great solution for slippery filter canisters: place a scrap of sandpaper between the wrench strap and the canister.
A store-bought solution is to get dedicated wrenches that fit on your socket wrench handle and mate to the bottom of the canister.
