**Valcourt, February 3, 2015 **– BRP continues to showcase the new Evinrude E-TEC G2 at boat shows.  On February 5-8, the outboard manufacturer will display the bold, striking new engine at the Montréal Boat Show. Since its unveiling in June, the game-changing Evinrude® E-TEC® G2™ outboard engine’s breakthrough design and industry-leading performance has shaken the marine industry. Alain Villemure, vice president and general manager of BRP’s Marine Propulsion Systems division, will be onsite and available to meet with dealers and consumers about the revolutionary engine and the calculated strategy that brought this product to fruition.

BRP has long been known for innovation, and the Evinrude E-TEC G2 is proof of that with 75% fewer emissions, 20% more torque and 15% more fuel efficiency than its competitors. Media are invited to schedule interview appointments with Villemure at the show to learn more.

Le Phare Nautique and Lapointe Sports, Montréal area BRP/ Evinrude dealers, will display Alumacraft and Mirrocraft boats rigged with colour-matched Evinrude E-TEC G2 outboard engines. The engine offers buyers the option to not only rig with one of the best performing engines on the market, but also gives them the power to coordinate the colours of their boat with more than 400 combinations. “We have the best engine on the market,” said Martin Gagnon, General Manager of Lapointe Sports located in Joliette, QC. “We couldn’t be more proud to support BRP and the Evinrude E-TEC G2. The engine has incomparable looks and performance. Not to mention the impressive torque and fuel efficiency it delivers. It really is a beautiful piece of engineering, inside and out.” The Evinrude E-TEC G2 also boasts an industry-first clean rigging system. All rigging components are now housed in a single tube, adding form and function to the transom. This feature adds further proof of the meticulous engineering infused in this built-from-scratch engine.
