The First PWC

Today's machines are not your daddy's watercraft.

The first PWC? According to the Personal Watercraft Industry Association, in 1968 Bombardier Recreational Products, known for its Ski-Doo snowmobiles debuted the first sit down, jet-powered PWC: the Sea-Doo. Check out this video in which our resident PWC expert, Jeff Hemmel rides a classic 320 cc “Sea-Doo” and also a brand new Sea Doo RXP-X, in order to highlight the evolution of the personal watercraft. Don’t let the smile on Hemmel’s face fool you: he is working hard. We will be running a feature about the evolution of the PWC in the near future. For now, enjoy this video.
