Gekko Revo 6.7 Wakesurf Review

Check out what we found when we wakesurfed behind the Gekko Revo 6.7!

As noted in the boat’s call sign, this is another surf-specific model, with customizations that make it more wakesurf-friendly than the base model.

What specifically gets updated? More than you would think for the low asking price of this value-conscious boat. First off, and by far the biggest change, is the new Gekko SurfSide System. This dash-operated tab system works by displacing the back of the boat to create a smooth, clean wave without having to move all the weight to one side or the other.

The Gekko Eye dash is a remarkably clean and refined dash with no wasted space and plenty of functionality. Light-up analog gauges are complimented by the small digital screen, which contains surf presets so you can call up your exact settings every time.

The Surf Edition graphics throw a little extra style on the side of the Revo 6.7, and the inside is complimented by high-density, marine-grade foam flooring with Gekko branding. The Indmar power not only has plenty of low-end torque for surfing, it also comes standard with a five-year warranty.

Top-Notch Trait: The Gekko Revo 6.7 Surf Edition will come in at $65,000 retail with all the features we’ve mentioned in this review — which is one hell of a statement. The feature list at this asking price includes surf graphics, the Gekko Eye dash, the SurfSide System, Zero Off GPS speed control, the fast-fold tower, integrated ballast, custom cover, infinity premium Bluetooth stereo with four speakers, Rockford Fosgate amp, Gekko Grip cockpit flooring, rotating surf racks, a fully loaded trailer and much more.

Stat: Gekko’s SurfSide System is integrated into the dash so you still have to signal the driver to switch your surf side, but the system transfers in 1.8 seconds. With that fast of a transfer you should have no problem hopping over the rooster tail and surfing the opposite side as long as you have your timing down with the driver.
