A sultry day on the water gave Ally the 4-1-1 on the “cool factor” of the Starcraft 221 Star Step. Stern and bow swim platforms are ladder-equipped to enhance both water sports and boat-to-the-beach parties. But what’s between them makes for comfortable cruising.
True to deck boat form, the 221’s cockpit is laden with comfortable U-shaped seating that lends itself to intimate conversation. All seating easily converts to sun lounges when reclining is the order of the day. Amenities aboard, such as the cooler and stereo with mP3 jack, fulfill the owner’s desire to entertain, while stainless-steel grab rails provide security and sizzle.
“I’d bring along all my girlfriends and have a fiesta,” says Ally of the layout, also noting the plug-and-play ease for her MP3 player.
The 221 Star Step is fast enough to provide instant air conditioning, another way to beat the heat, but the full windshield will protect those, like Ally between photo shoots, who need to keep their hair looking good.
