The Stanley FatMax Portable Tripod Light

Three detachable cordless lights provide hours of illumination.

Stanley FatMax Portable Tripod

It took me two seconds to set up the new Stanley FatMax Portable Tripod Light out of the box, and after charging it, I set it up in my dark basement. I clicked on all three lights, which can operate independently of one another, and the LED bulbs bathed the dark room with light equal to the high hats overhead.

This tripod light produces up to 2400 lumens and is great for setting up on deck aboard anything from a sportfisherman to a pontoon boat, or for illuminating the dock or launch ramp. Each light can last up to 10 hrs when fully charged, and the lithium ion batteries can hold a charge for up to a year. (So it’s also a great idea to store one in your house during hurricane season.) The three lights rotate 90 degrees and can be detached for individual use. The tripod stand adjusts from three to six feet in length.

$270, various retail outlets.
