In Miami, Boating editors are revisiting a model they put to the test in the 2012 Boat Buyers Guide: the Starcraft 240 SCX I/O. Among the favorite features are the spacious bow lounge thanks to the pickle-fork design, bow and stern nonslip platforms with telescoping ladders, and back-to-back aft benches rather than the usual sun pad. That’s a great place for the family to get all geared up for wakeboarding, skiing or tubing, then watch the action behind the boat.
When Boating took the Starcraft 240 SCX I/O out on the water, testers used the MerCruiser 350 MAG to reach a speed of 47 mph, with great handling. An outboard version of this Starcraft model is also available, with a Mercury 150 XL Optimax, and the same great features designed for crossover fun with your family on the water.
