Must-See Engines at the 2020 Miami International Boat Show

This year’s show has many amazing marine power options on display.

The Miami Boat Show offers one of the best opportunities to get up close and personal with all the latest and greatest choices in propulsion. If you’re engine shopping, talk to the available experts in the F Tent and get an up-close look at all the boats in the water at the show. Here are some of the best power options on display at the show this year.

Suzuki DF300b outboard

Suzuki is displaying 14 boats in the water paired with Suzuki outboards. Be sure to check out the new DF300b, Suzuki’s latest offering with twin contra-rotating propellers that provide more bite, plus better efficiency and handling. Check out the new DF300b on a Sea Pro 239.

Yanmar 6LF and 6LT on display

The newest engines from Yanmar, the 6LF and the 6LT, produce 485 mph and 640 mhp respectively. Yanmar says they’re ideally for leisure boats as well as light duty commercial applications. Inboard enthusiasts will want to check out the latest in lightweight diesel power.

Mercuy will showcase its new V6 400 Verado at the show, but much of its product will be on display either in the F tent or on the water, where you’ll be able to look at Mercuries aboard 16 different boats.

Yamaha XTO Offshore Outboard

Yamaha will have 18 boats in the water at this year’s Miami Boat Show, ranging from bass boats to RIBS to bluewater center consoles. Be sure to check out the 425-hp XTO Offshore, a powerhouse of an outboard designed to be installed with multiple engines to propel the ever-larger fleet of boats designed for outboard power.

Volvo will have a number of engines on display both in the water and in the F Tent at the show. Take a look at boats with Volvo Penta’s Forward drive, which allows builders to convert any traditional stern drive boat into a surf boat. Also be sure to check out the 7 Marine display of the world’s most powerful outboards, which range from 527 to 627 hp, and have adapted Volvo Penta’s duoprop technology to offer outboards with twin contra-rotating propellers.
