Sunsation’s Special Delivery

Customer receives 34 CCX earlier than expected.
Sunsation 34 CCX

Sunsation Powerboats in Algonac, Mich., is no stranger to custom orders so when customer Adam Carpenter decided he wanted a 34 Sunsation CCX with triple Mercury Racing 400-hp Verado outboards done in black, the manufacturer was up to the challenge.

The Schaldenbrand family owns Sunsation and Joe Schaldenbrand, one of the owners of the company, met with Carpenter at the Miami Boat Show in February. They sealed the deal and the build was under way.

Or so everybody thought.

The next morning, Joe Schaldenbrand and Carpenter ran into each other at the Miami International Airport. Schaldenbrand offered his customer the demo boat so Carpenter could have the boat sooner. Mitcher T, a custom paint shop, executed Carpenter’s vision of an all black 34 CCX. Carpenter doubled the usual number of LED lights in the cockpit and upgraded the stereo to a system with 23 JL speakers. The boat will have FLIR Night Vision and radar all linked to the Garmin 8215 displays. The ultra modern looking cabin is done in white with a black sole and black headliner.
