It’s an unofficial record, because this most prestigious boat race places smaller boats in an exhibition class. But that doesn’t make it any less impressive.

On August 24, 2019, at the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout at the helm of a Canadian Electric Boats Volt 180 powered by a Torqeedo Deep Blue 80 our very own Randy Vance hit 30 mph.

Vance ran a Torqeedo-powered Calypso Panga in the 2018 Shootout and hit 25-mph.
