The best-known name in performance boat accessories, Livorsi Marine has designed its Platinum Series controls for arched, standard and billet configurations to be more compact and more comfortable to use. The Platinum Series is finished with a two-coat process that prevents corrosion. The controls can be set up for single or multiple engines for sterndrives, transmissions, jet drives and buckets. They are available in full mechanical, full electric or mechanical-electric hybrid versions.
The Platinum Series has three different customizable styles, including standard for a traditional look, billet for a racing or high-performance presentation, or arched for a more modern look. With a shorter base depth, the mechanical units measure 8.125 inches, and electric versions are 6.5 inches long. The resistance or friction can be adjusted while the levers are installed.
The Platinum Series controls can have up to three trim switches in the handle to control drive, tab and the jack plate position. The mechanical versions can be used with 33C or 43C cables, while the electric units use compact direct-driven angular sensors. A micro switch is used for shifting electronic transmissions.
